Tatami Edge Tape Blue Herringbone
Tatami edges are a material attached to tatami mats to reinforce the corners of the tatami. Tatami edges were originally attached to the corners of tatami mats to protect the grass from being torn by wear and tear.
In recent years, tatami-buchi has become popular as a material for handicrafts, and many artists use tatami-buchi to make bags, hair ornaments (corsages, ribbons), and miscellaneous goods (pen cases, business card cases).
Because of its durability, it is recommended for bags and straps.
It is also called tatami heri, tatami tape, or tatami ribbon.
Since it has ears (to prevent unraveling), it is possible to make small items using the width of the fabric.
Since most of the fabric is made of synthetic fiber, it cannot be ironed, but creases can be easily added by rubbing with a hard object.
